Hello!

I am Derek Snee, a full-time documentary style photographer, with a passion for capturing storytelling scenes.

In my personal work (featured on this site) I thrive on photographing people on the streets of great cities and creating contrasty black and white images.  My work in the 'Street' gallery is candid, while my 'People' gallery contains a mix of candid and informal street portraits, and one or two studio portraits - all typically shot with minimal, if any, direction from me.  I also enjoy capturing quirky 'Architectural' images.

In my commercial work, I help my clients (who include authors, bloggers and wedding couples) to tell their own captivating stories.
